72,000-78,000 per annum

Senior Solicitor/Lawyer

About the role



In this high-impact role, you'll use your extensive legal expertise to support our new organisational strategy. You'll be instrumental in helping us design and implement:


Grant-making frameworks and partnership agreements Innovative social investment models for the NHS Contracts with a range of external stakeholders
You'll play a key role in enabling Macmillan's strategic goals through robust legal advice, high-quality drafting, and pragmatic problem-solving. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your commercial legal skills in a purpose-driven context - helping us reach and support more people affected by cancer.




About you



The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:


Qualification as a Solicitor or Barrister in England & Wales Experience in contract and commercial law
A track record of drafting grant-making agreements and/or social investment deals would be hugely advantageous
Ideally, working knowledge of charity law and experience in-house or with public/voluntary sector bodies (e.g. charities, NHS, statutory agencies) The ability to work independently and manage your own caseload, while contributing to a collaborative, values-driven team
