Job Description

The Senior Solution Architect at SAP Emarsys is a seasoned technical leader responsible for designing and delivering advanced, customized solutions on the SAP Emarsys Customer Engagement platform.



Acting as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, this role drives the strategic technical direction for high-complexity projects, ensuring seamless onboarding, integration, and platform adoption. Beyond delivering scalable and secure solutions, you play a pivotal role in mentoring junior team members, guiding them through solution design and implementation.



Additionally, you will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for platform improvement and contributes significantly to partner education, technical enablement, and the evolution of best practices across the organisation.


YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES




Lead the design and architecture of highly complex solutions on the SAP Emarsys Customer Engagement platform, ensuring all customer requirements are met with excellence. Collaborate with senior client stakeholders to thoroughly understand their business needs, technical environment, and long-term marketing objectives. Develop and oversee detailed solution architectures and design documents, ensuring they meet industry best practices and align with business goals. Act as the subject matter expert on the SAP Emarsys platform, providing thought leadership and strategic direction to both technical and business stakeholders. Lead high-stakes projects and take ownership of designing custom solutions, coordinating closely with internal teams to deliver the best possible outcomes for clients. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior Solution Architects and technical team members, guiding them through complex implementations. Draft comprehensive Statements of Work (SOW), clearly defining project scope and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Ensure technical oversight throughout the implementation process, offering expert guidance on integration and configuration. Perform final technical sign-off on key deliverables, ensuring compliance with best practices and that the solution meets all functionality requirements. Conduct workshops, training sessions, and presentations for clients to drive effective platform adoption and understanding. Carry out rigorous testing and validation to ensure that implemented solutions meet client expectations and objectives. Identify potential risks or issues in solution design early and address them proactively to avoid disruptions or delays. Take the lead on creating internal knowledge base materials, developing content that improves partner education and internal best practices. Provide consultation on advanced client data strategies, including Relational Database setups, reporting, and dashboards. Produce clear and detailed documentation for both internal and client-facing purposes, such as data flow diagrams and architecture overviews. Lead or assist with project scoping, ensuring accurate functional alignment with client needs and business processes. Proactively seek opportunities for platform improvement and innovation based on client feedback and emerging industry trends.

YOUR PROFILE





Profound understanding of web technologies (Coding- and programming languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Phyton, etc., APIs, SQL), Databases, SaaS technologies and Cloud Computing and extended eco-systems (ERP, PIM, eCommerce, ..)Excellent analytical skills and ability to identify gaps (processes, technical) and suggest optimizations to client workflows and strategies.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.

Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving processes.

Strong presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics to technical- and non-technical audiences.

Hands-on problem-solving mindset, able to assist customers in solving challenges and adopting the platform.

Strong CRM/Marketing knowledge across multiple verticals.

Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across internal services functions, client project teams, Customer Success Managers (CSMs), and service consultants

Ability to translate business and technical requirements into a statement of work, outlining our and customer's deliverables

Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration

Proven experience in a technical, client-facing role, engaging with complex and enterprise-grade customers.

Proven track record of successfully scoped and developed integrations.

Experience with systems and data integrations (communication between APIs, SQL/NoSQL relational databases, e-Commerce platforms, CRM systems, ERP systems, datalakes, CDPs, etc.)

Profound experience with SaaS solution in the CX area, and good understanding for connected commerce systems (PIM, ERP, Commerce, POS). Experience with SAP CX ecosystem (SMC, CDC, CDP, Sales Cloud, Commerce Cloud, BTP, CPI,

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and cloud native principles

Experience in designing scalable, secure, and efficient architectures for SaaS applications, preferably within the Marketing Automation domain
