This is a fantastic opportunity for an established Senior Solution Architect to join the English Heritage Technology Services (IT) team. Our vision and aim is to ensure our organisation is able to drive forward its corporate strategy by becoming a trusted partner for all technology needs, delivering end to end solutions that add tangible value and benefit to our internal customers and ultimately improve engagement with our visitors and members to enhance their overall experience of English Heritage.

The role is within a multidisciplined team which is geographically dispersed. It offers hybrid working, however you will be asked to attend an English Heritage Office or site for meetings and work groups as required. Our head office is in Central London however our architecture practice is centred in our historic office in Swindon, Wiltshire.

You will be responsible for the success of the solution which is devised to solve the business problems including functionality, accuracy, stability and performance, whilst aligning with English Heritage enterprise objectives.

You will take responsibility for understanding business stakeholder requirements, collecting relevant data, delivering analysis and problem resolution, identifying, evaluating and recommending options, and in some limited scenarios implementing if required.

You will be creating architecture description documentation that accurately reflects the current state of the Enterprise Architecture as well as future state Solution Architecture artifacts.

You\'ll be supporting an ambitious portfolio of IT change across all departments including marketing, asset management, retail, curatorial, business development and other capabilities. You\'ll be preparing technical plans and applying design principles, aligning solutions with enterprise and solution architecture standards (including security).
