We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with the ability to lead and inspire a team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of food quality and safety while ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and service. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant procedures. Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques. Previous supervisory experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
