We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef with Mediterranean, Mezze, Turkish Food Experience to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee kitchen operations, support food production, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The successful applicant will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef and managing daily kitchen activities within a busy hospitality environment.

Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards, storage procedures, and cleanliness of the kitchen environment Support in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and knowledge Ensure timely delivery of dishes during service periods while maintaining quality control Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering supplies as needed Maintain a positive working environment by fostering teamwork and effective communication among staff

Skills



Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen or hospitality setting Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary arts Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff under pressure Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards Experience in restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service principles Leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently and delegate responsibilities effectively Good understanding of food production processes and menu development Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
