We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef to join our professional culinary team. Responsibilities



Assist the head chef in planning and executing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations. Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow during service periods. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen operations. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock rotation to minimise waste. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a team-oriented environment focused on continuous improvement. Ensure all dishes are prepared in accordance with recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines. Support the organisation of special events or catering services as required. Collaborate closely with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless service experiences for guests.

Requirements



Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment. Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation. Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Solid understanding of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and health regulations. Experience working in restaurants or hospitality settings is highly desirable. Excellent cooking skills with a comprehensive knowledge of various cuisines and techniques. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Previous experience serving or managing service operations is advantageous but not essential.
