The Role
As
Senior Sous Chef
, you will play a key leadership role within the kitchen team, reporting directly to the
General Manager and Head Chef
. You will take ownership of day-to-day kitchen operations, inspire and develop your team, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality food across all areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Take full control, accountability, and ownership of the kitchen department in line with company policies
Work within set budgets, implement profit protection measures, and manage supplier relationships
Plan, organise, and manage staff rotas effectively
Collaborate with the General Manager and Head Chef on menu planning, development, pricing, staffing, and kitchen maintenance
Lead, motivate, train, and supervise kitchen staff, encouraging strong communication across departments
Oversee all food preparation and service, maintaining consistently high standards
Ensure full compliance with Health, Hygiene & Safety regulations and promote ongoing staff training
Manage food rotation, stock control, and waste reduction proactively
Handle and be aware of TRC complaint and safety procedures
Maintain excellent personal and team presentation standards at all times
About You
Minimum
3 years' experience
within the catering or hospitality industry
Previous experience in a senior kitchen role preferred
NVQ Level 2
(or equivalent) desirable
Passionate about food sourcing, preparation, and presentation
A strong leader with excellent organisational and communication skills
Proactive, reliable, and proud of your work and team
