JOB PURPOSE

To co-ordinate the planning, production and service of all foods to the highest possible level of quality and presentation. To ensure that all food hygiene and safety regulations are maintained.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

To deputise and assume full responsibility in the running of the kitchen in the absence of the Head chef. To ensure that the highest possible standards of food preparation and production of food, ensuring portion control and profit margins are achieved. To order supplies necessary for the food operation, securing best quality and prices. To ensure that supplies delivered are properly checked. To work with the Head Chef and General Manager to continually develop and improve all menus and to promote new ideas and special features. To ensure that all food hygiene and health & safety standards are maintained To ensure staff rotas are operated in harmony with business needs and requirements. To manage and develop staff effectively To work effectively as part of the Wortley Hall team to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. To continually develop yourself and others in your role at Wortley Hall and seeking wherever possible to improve service to customers
