Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with the ability to lead and inspire a team. As a Senior Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring that high standards of food quality and safety are maintained while contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and presentation meet the restaurant's standards. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations. Collaborate with the Head Chef in menu planning, including seasonal offerings and specials. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation. Assist in managing kitchen budgets and controlling food costs effectively. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment. Strong food production skills with a focus on quality and presentation. Excellent team management abilities, fostering a positive work atmosphere. Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods across various cuisines. Extensive kitchen experience, ideally within a fast-paced restaurant setting. Culinary experience with a passion for creating innovative dishes. Strong understanding of hospitality principles and customer service excellence. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

Pay: 15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 - 45 per week
