Senior Specialist Cover Educator (Primary)

What You'll Do (and Why It Matters)

You'll be the person NOVUS rely on when things need to run smoothly.

That means:

Delivering exceptional, engaging and progressive learning across Creative Arts, Music, PE and structured lessons Leading lessons confidently using provided plans Managing behaviour calmly and clearly linked to school behaviour policies Walking into new settings and taking control fast Creating a positive, inclusive learning environment every time

Working Pattern (Please Read)

This role is

midweek by design

You will not be required on Mondays or Fridays.

Cover is typically needed Tuesday-Thursday, and some weeks may involve partial days rather than full days. This suits someone looking for senior-level, flexible work that fits around other commitments.

When you are booked, expectations are clear and delivery standards are high. When you are not needed, you are free -- no last-minute pressure and no expectation to "make up" hours.

Are confident teaching primary-aged children (5-11) Can deliver

classroom learning

, not just sport or outdoor activities Stay calm under pressure and enjoy variety Are organised, reliable, and professional Love creative, active and engaging lessons Hold an Enhanced DBS (or are happy to reapply) Can travel independently across Bristol & Bath
Experience as a teacher, HLTA, cover supervisor or specialist educator is a big plus.
