St Richard's Hospice is seeking an exceptional
Senior Staff Nurse
to join our dedicated
Advice & Guidance and Rapid Response Teams.
This is a vital role within our service, supporting patients and families in their homes and through our hospice-based support line. The position includes lone working during weekends and bank holidays as part of a team rota, offering autonomy within a highly supportive and collaborative environment.
You will
Deliver high-quality nursing care in patients' homes as part of the Rapid Response team.
Work within the
Advice & Guidance service
, managing new referrals and providing clinical advice and emotional support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals over the telephone.
Coordinate and develop individualised care plans and ensure seamless care delivery.
Work effectively within a
multi-disciplinary team (MDT)
and delegate appropriately to Senior Health Care Assistants (SHCAs).
This post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
About You
We are looking for:
A
Registered Nurse
with post-registration experience.
Ideally experienced in
community and/or palliative care
.
A nurse who is flexible, calm under pressure, and well-organised.
A compassionate individual with excellent
communication and delegation skills
.
Someone who thrives in a
collaborative environment
but can also work independently, especially during lone weekend shifts.
Driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for work purposes.
