We are UCL: a diverse community with the freedom to challenge and think differently. From cancer research to climate change, dementia to social inequality, the world is facing huge challenges and we're determined to solve them.
There has never been a more exciting time to join the Advancement office as we plan for our biggest ever fundraising and engagement campaign and support the delivery of the bicentennial programme in 2026. We are a team of exceptionally ambitious, creative and passionate individuals who work together to achieve remarkable things with a global impact, and we would love for you to be part of this exciting journey and our success.
Equity, diversity and inclusion is important to us. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone is encouraged to give their best in a place where their unique experiences, perspectives and skills are seen as valuable assets.
About the role
------------------
This is a secondment opportunity/fixed-term contract for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
As Senior Stakeholder Engagement Manager you'll play a crucial, enabling role in the preparation and execution of UCL's next philanthropic campaign. You will do this by facilitating the engagement and management of our internal stakeholders, to ensure we are building and maintaining our ways of working, as well as celebrating successes.
Working with colleagues at all levels across UCL Advancement, and the wider university, you'll build on the foundations we have set to deliver activity that ensures we are strategic, joined up and effective. This is a varied and cross-cutting role, with a combination of planning, project delivery and business as usual activity.
This role sits in a growing and evolving Planning & Performance team. Whilst there will be a handover from the substantive role-holder, we are at a pivotal moment in our campaign planning activity and so you'll need to pick up and deliver as quickly as possible (under the full support and guidance of the Associate Director Planning & Performance). We are facilitators, problem-solvers and choreographers, and we play an important role in enabling efficiency, best practice and effective relationship management.
We're happy to consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible (minimum 0.8 FTE - equivalent of 4 days per week, stated salary to be pro-rata).
This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 20% on site, with Tuesdays as our in-office day.
To hear more about the role, email Rhiannon Williams, Associate Director of Planning & Performance: rhiannon.e.williams@ucl.ac.uk
Please use the attach cover letter upload option to tell us how you meet the criteria in the person specification.
Please note interviews for this role will be online, with the first stage interviews being held on 4 September 2025, and second stage interviews on 11 September 2025.

About you
-------------
You will enjoy playing an enabling role, joining up threads of conversations and finding solutions to the challenges of our complex ways of working. You understand the importance of strong relationship management and high-level administration, whilst also being able to adopt project coordination principles in a nuanced and flexible way, responding to the context and priorities as needed. Given the cross-cutting nature of the role, you will have a curiosity for other teams within Advancement, and the wider university, to ensure collaborative and effective ways of working.
We are pleased to accept applications from individuals who possess transferable skills and experience drawn from sectors outside of Higher Education.
