Position Summary

We are seeking a

Senior Manager of Statutory Reporting

to lead and strengthen statutory compliance, governance, and consolidated reporting across a broad portfolio of UK, Europe and other global legal entities. This role is both strategic and hands-on, combining deep technical expertise with cross-regional oversight and controllership responsibilities. The Senior Manager will drive the UK consolidated statutory reporting process, manage complex multi-country eliminations, and oversee several holding entities with sophisticated capital and intercompany structures.

This is a highly visible role that partners closely with external auditors, shared service teams, local finance teams, and third-party accounting firms. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience managing statutory filings in the UK and multiple European jurisdictions, along with strong mastery of UK GAAP, IFRS, and local reporting frameworks.

We are a rapidly growing finance organization within a large, dynamic company, actively building our capabilities, systems, and processes from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to shape how the statutory and controllership functions operate long term. You will help architect scalable processes, influence governance standards, drive continuous improvement, and leave a lasting impact on a high-performing finance team. You won't just join a function -- you will help create it, with the space to innovate, modernize, and elevate the statutory reporting environment in an organization that values ownership, speed, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

UK Consolidation - Multi-Country Statutory Reporting

Prepare the consolidated financial statements under UK GAAP, ensuring accurate treatment of investments, intra-group balances, foreign operations, and cross-jurisdictional activity. Manage complex eliminations, including intercompany revenue, cost allocations, cross-border financing arrangements, dividends, and equity transactions. Ensure consistent accounting policies across all reporting entities, identifying and resolving local-to-UK GAAP differences and consolidation adjustments. Work with local teams and service providers to validate subsidiary results, ensure completeness, and resolve consolidation discrepancies. Maintain consolidation models, strengthen the control environment, and introduce automation or process improvements to accelerate close cycles. Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors on UK consolidated reporting, ensuring smooth audit execution and strong technical compliance.

Complex Holding Entity Controllership

Serve as the controller for one or more complex holding or investment entities with multi-layer ownership structures and cross-border transactions. Oversee governance, accounting integrity, and compliance for entities with treasury activity, financing structures, or M&A-driven reorganizations. Manage intercompany settlements, capital flows, dividend declarations, and restructuring transactions with proper accounting treatment and documentation. Strengthen internal controls and design scalable processes tailored to complex entity environments (e.g., multi-entity eliminations, cross-country reconciliations). Partner with tax, treasury, and legal to support funding structures, corporate reorganizations, and regulatory compliance across Europe.

Coordination, Oversight & Team Leadership

Partner with internal teams (shared services, tax, legal, treasury, FP&A) to ensure statutory outputs are complete, accurate, and aligned. Manage and optimize the statutory compliance spend, improving cost efficiency and operational effectiveness. Provide leadership, coaching, and subject-matter expertise to teams supporting statutory activities.
