About The Role
The role of senior strategist is to help set and execute the strategic direction across our brand, marketing, product and business. They will be the right hand person to the Strategy and Creative director, working cross-functionally to bring insight and direction to multiple business units.
KEY RESULT AREA / PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Driving an insight culture through the business - Identifying and owning research projects (qual and quant). Connecting information from our category team with consumer insight to inform planning and decision making.
Leading and supporting creative briefs - Helping the marketing team develop propositions for clear and effective marketing campaigns. Briefing into our internal studio.
Supporting on wider business strategy -Supporting Strategy and Creative director across strategic initatives such as long-term planning, brand and category planning.

About You
Qualifications & Specific Training
The ideal candidate will have a degree/relevant qualification in a marketing discipline or other. - though those without should not be deterred from applying on this basis.
Experience in FMCG desirable but not essential
Experience
4- 6+ years experience in a brand or business strategy role either agency side or in FMCG business.
Demonstratable success in leading and delivering marketing campaigns and strategic projects
Experience managing external partners
Experience in developing measurement and reporting frameworks
Experience in analysing and distilling data sets (qual and quant) and developing succinct narratives and recommendations.
Knowledge
Knowledge of brand strategy fundamentals (Long and short of it, media principles, consumer propositions, testing best practices)
Some knowledge of business strategy fundamentals - objectives, KPIs, price, product, promotion, channels.
Knowledge of design and concepting processes
Knowledge of setting correct KPIs and measuring effectiveness of initiatives/ campaigns
Skills
Strong communication and storytelling skills
Ability to analyse and distil data into key implications
Good relationship building skills to work collaboratively across departments
Keen eye for patterns of insight and ability to connect the dots across the business - not get bogged down in detail
Creative instinct - comfortable critiquing creative and design work
