What will you be doing?




We are seeking a

Senior Structural Analysis Engineer

to join a dynamic engineering team supporting the design and assessment of complex mechanical components. This role focuses on performing advanced structural analysis and fracture assessments, ensuring the integrity and reliability of high-performance systems. You will work independently on ongoing stress and structural tasks, providing expert analysis and guidance to the engineering team.

Your main responsibilities will be:



Conduct detailed structural analysis using finite element tools such as Abaqus or Ansys. Perform pressure vessel and defect tolerance (fracture) assessments to evaluate component integrity. Independently manage and deliver ongoing stress and structural tasks. Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret results and provide actionable recommendations. Contribute to improving analysis methods and processes within the team.

A technically confident engineer with senior-level expertise in structural analysis and fracture assessment. You should be proactive, able to work independently, and skilled at applying advanced analysis methods to ensure the safety and reliability of critical components.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:



Extensive experience in finite element analysis (FEA), particularly using Abaqus or Ansys. Proven expertise in pressure vessel and defect tolerance assessments. Senior-level capability to work independently and manage complex stress analysis tasks. Strong knowledge of mechanical and structural engineering principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline. Demonstrable experience in advanced structural analysis and fracture assessment.
