We are seeking a seasoned and highly capable Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing team. You'll bring a robust civil and structural background with proven strength in system design, project delivery, and construction oversight. This role offers the chance to lead complex assignments, leverage advanced design tools, and shape innovative, buildable solutions. You will play a pivotal part in assuring the safety, durability, and efficiency of projects across multiple sectors.
Responsibilities
Lead the analysis and design of structural systems for buildings and civil structures, ensuring compliance with current standards and regulations.
Produce coordinated drawings, models, and details using AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
Manage concurrent projects, planning workloads, budgets, and risks, and coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to meet programme and quality targets.
Undertake design reviews, feasibility studies, optioneering, and risk assessments to optimise structural integrity, buildability, and whole-life cost.
Oversee site-based activities, responding to RFIs, monitoring works for conformance, and upholding safety protocols.
Prepare clear technical reports, specifications, calculations, and presentations for stakeholders.
Mentor and develop junior engineers, promoting standards, good practice, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
Demonstrable experience as a Structural Engineer with a track record of delivered projects and sound technical judgement.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and MicroStation (other CAD/BIM tools an advantage).
Strong grasp of project management principles within engineering contexts (scope, programme, cost, risk).
Competence with analysis tools such as Mathcad (and relevant structural design software).
Solid understanding of construction methods, system design principles, and buildability.
Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
Relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised by professional bodies.
Chartered membership (or working toward membership) of a recognised engineering institution is desirable.
