We're currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our well-established Structures team in Leeds. You will work alongside a talented and supportive team of engineers, gaining hands-on experience and mentoring from senior engineers and our leadership team. The Role

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and delivering structural engineering projects across multiple sectors, including education, healthcare, retail, and industrial projects. You will play a key role in liaising with clients, coordinating with other disciplines, and mentoring junior engineers as part of a growing team. The role offers fantastic potential for career progression and is ideal for an engineer looking to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead structural design and analysis for a variety of projects across different sectors, including education, healthcare, retail, and more. Work closely with clients and stakeholders, maintaining effective communication throughout project lifecycles. Manage and coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors. Mentor and support junior engineers, sharing knowledge and providing guidance. Undertake technical design reviews and ensure designs meet relevant standards and regulations. Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and schedule management. Develop and prepare detailed design calculations, specifications, and reports. Ensure adherence to safety, sustainability, and quality standards throughout projects. Assist with business development, contributing to proposals and client meetings. Collaborate with senior engineers to support your progression towards chartership.

What We're Looking For:

A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent). A number of years experience in structural engineering, ideally working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer. Strong experience in structural design, with proficiency in software such as Tekla SD, Tedd's, MasterSeries, and ETABS. Knowledge of Revit would be beneficial for understanding models. Experience managing and coordinating projects and teams. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
