Senior Structural Engineer

to play a key role in the design, coordination, and delivery of projects across our growing portfolio.

The Role



As a

Senior Structural Engineer

, you will take responsibility for leading and managing structural design projects from concept to completion. You will oversee junior engineers and technicians, ensure technical quality, and maintain strong communication with clients and design partners. This role offers excellent scope for professional growth and progression toward Associate level within the business.

Key Responsibilities



Lead the structural design and analysis of projects in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. Produce and review structural calculations, drawings, and design reports. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to graduate and design engineers. Liaise directly with clients, architects, contractors, and other design professionals. Ensure compliance with Eurocodes, British Standards, and Building Regulations. Conduct site inspections, assessments, and provide engineering input during construction stages. Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the design team. Support business development activities, including fee proposals and client presentations.

About You



Essential:



BEng/MEng (Hons) in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university. Chartered (or near-chartered) with the

Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE)

or

Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)

. Proven experience delivering structural design projects in the UK, ideally within a consultancy environment. Strong technical expertise in design using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, STAAD.Pro, Revit). Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills. Ability to manage and mentor junior team members. Good commercial awareness and understanding of project management principles.

Desirable:



Experience working on a diverse range of building and infrastructure projects. Knowledge of sustainable and low-carbon design practices. Full UK driving licence.
