Accord People are seeking an experienced

Senior Subsea Project Engineer

for one of our Aberdeen-based clients to support and lead technical delivery across IRM, construction, commissioning, and geotechnical inspection projects.

Position Summary:

The Senior Subsea Project Engineer will be responsible for providing technical leadership on subsea projects, ensuring effective planning, execution, and delivery. The role requires hands-on experience with IRM, subsea construction and commissioning, and geotechnical inspections, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical oversight and engineering support for subsea projects, from planning through execution and close-out. Lead and support IRM operations, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. Contribute to subsea construction and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Plan, review, and support geotechnical inspections, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting. Develop and maintain project documentation, schedules, and technical reports. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure project objectives are met. Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on engineering best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Marine, Offshore, Subsea, or related discipline). Minimum 8-10 years' experience in subsea engineering projects. Proven experience in IRM, subsea construction, commissioning, and geotechnical inspections. Strong knowledge of offshore operations, engineering standards, and industry regulations. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
