Senior Supervisor

What You'll Do
As a Senior Supervisor, you'll lead the operational delivery of highways and construction works, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards. You'll manage teams, coordinate resources, and deputise for the Operations Manager when required.
You will:
Oversee daily and strategic planning of works programmes
Lead and mentor Supervisors, Depot Supervisors, operatives and subcontractors
Ensure compliance with IMS procedures, including safety inspections and inductions
Manage budgets, performance and progress against targets
Attend stakeholder meetings and provide project updates
Respond to emergencies and participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota
Champion health and safety and ensure accurate record keeping
Support the development of staff, including Trainee Supervisors
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Significant experience in highways or construction at agent or supervisor level
Graduate Engineer, HNC in Civil Engineering, NVQ4 or equivalent experience
Traffic Management qualifications (TM1, TM2, T7)
Working knowledge of highway contracts (ICE, NEC, JCT) and CDM regulations
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
Willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g. SMSTS, Winter 6159 Supervisor Unit 621)
Ability to work flexibly, including out-of-hours and in adverse weather conditions
