We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supplier Manager of critical contracts to join a fantastic company.

The role can be based in Peterborough, Tunbridge Wells or Chesterfield

This role has two key areas of accountability: * Development standards, processes and controls which enable M-powered (IT Division) to effectively manage our 3rd party suppliers. This includes the development of supplier management skills across key areas, coordination, and support of the key relationships, accountable for ensuring that all supplier managers are meeting the standards required including due diligence requirements.

  • Providing the link with and acting alongside the procurement team on renewals processes for Critical and Material suppliers to ensure clear line of sight on renewals and working with the supplier managers to ensure material changes or longer-term plans are considered as part of that renewal process.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring an up to date view of all M-powered suppliers is maintained.
  • Accountability for those suppliers is clear.
  • Standards are developed and clearly applied with periodic reviews.
  • Training is delivered and refreshed as personnel change.
  • Coaching and guiding supplier managers to improve skills.
  • Line of sight on renewals and engagement with supplier managers is effective.
  • Cost are effectively forecasted and understood.
  • Good understanding of the contract supporting our key suppliers to support supplier managers.
  • Providing executive reporting and actionable insights on the risk around Critical and Material suppliers.
  • Keeping excellent records and ensuring all updates are accessible to key stakeholders.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge:
  • Proven experience as Supplier Manager of Critical Contracts.
  • Executive level communication skills / experience.
  • Strong analytical experience.
  • Excellent coordination and planning skills.
  • Stakeholder Management experience.
  • Experience working closely with technology teams.
  • Experience of working in or with procurement teams.
  • Attention to detail and excellent record keeping.
Preferred:
  • Extensive experience of working within a regulated industry.
  • Experience of working with technology and IT security staff.
