Senior Supply Chain Lead

Location:

Salary:

Up to 48,000 dependent on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the product or service provision You will be expected to meet the governance requirements of the business and our customers Ensure you achieve the required service level as agreed with internal stakeholders Manage or oversee the management of contracts throughout their life in conjunction with the business Proactively manage instances of supplier under-performance against cost, quality and schedule You will raise formal documents to support the sourcing and contracting process, including Request for Information, Request for Quotation, Assessment documents, Purchase Orders Ensure you manage supplier payment process and resolve any goods receiving and supplier debt issues

Your skills and experiences:

Possess a high standard of Procurement competence in key areas of sourcing, process knowledge, contracting skills and supplier management. Demonstrate exemplary business acumen and Analysis skills Experience of Procurement / Supply Chain Department Commercial and contractual acumen Working understanding of tool sets and IT (SAP essential)

The Maritime & Land Defence Solutions (M&L DS) Supply Chain team:

Working within the Asset Management Maritime & Land Defence Solutions Supply Chain responsible for delivering procurement / supply chain support activities associated with a defined Type 26. The role includes supporting the development of procurement / supply chain strategies & plans, and the engagement and management of suppliers, projects and other stakeholders to deliver project/business objectives. The coaching, mentoring and development of team members to drive performance.



Responsible for the day-to-day procurement of materials and subcontract services ensuring requirements related to cost, quality, delivery and export control are competitively achieved in line with requirements.
