As a
Senior Support Worker
, you'll combine frontline care with leadership. You'll be a role model for staff, providing guidance and direction while ensuring young people receive the very best care and support.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead shifts, supervise staff, and support with rota management.
Provide personalised, caring support for young people facing emotional and behavioural difficulties, helping them feel valued and secure.
Mentor junior staff, offering guidance, supervision, and contributing to team development.
Support and review care plans tailored to each child's emotional, psychological, and educational needs.
Engage young people in therapeutic and life skills-based activities to promote resilience, empowerment, and wellbeing.
Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment.
Complete records, risk assessments, behaviour plans, and report safeguarding concerns.
Collaborate with families, social workers, and external professionals to ensure joined-up care.
What We're Looking For
Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People / Residential Childcare (essential)
Strong experience in children's residential care, including shift-leading or supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge of safeguarding, care planning, and Ofsted standards.
Confident leadership skills, with a supportive and hands-on approach.
Empathy, patience, and ability to build meaningful relationships.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
