We are working with an established Children's Residential provider to recruit a
Senior Residential Support Worker
for children's home in Telford. These homes provide safe, nurturing, and structured environments for young people aged 8-18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties and learning difficulties.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practitioner to take on greater responsibility, guide a dedicated team, and directly impact the lives of children and young people who need consistency, care, and support to thrive.
About the Role
Lead shifts and ensure the delivery of high-quality, therapeutic care.
Be a positive role model for both staff and young people.
Provide direct support to children with complex needs, helping them feel safe and valued.
Oversee routines including education, meals, and personal development.
Manage behaviour plans, risk assessments, and record-keeping.
Supervise and mentor junior staff, supporting their growth.
Work collaboratively with social workers, schools, and other professionals.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding regulations and Ofsted standards.
What We're Looking For
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Previous experience working in children's residential care.
Leadership qualities with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to challenges.
Full UK manual driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Commitment to safeguarding and ongoing professional development.
