Pay and Benefits



29,138 per annum based on 40 hour per week - The role is part office based and part care delivery. you will be required to work full time hours

12.50 per hour for Senior Duties Plus holiday pay

Enhanced hourly rate on all UK Bank Holidays

28 days holiday

General mileage paid at 30p per mile (with additional 15p per mile via the Government Mileage Relief Scheme)

Mileage paid from home and return to home

Mileage on behalf of a client, ie hospital visits paid at 45p per mile.

Main Duties and Responsibilities



You will work as a Senior Support Worker who is part of an amazing team, providing personal care, companionship and support for vulnerable clients in their own home whilst supporting a team of Support Workers to be the best they can be. This may include:

Companionship and warm friendship

Helping with personal care

Helping with mobility around the home

Overseeing medication and providing medical support

Helping with housework such as cleaning and vacuuming

Preparing and cooking meals

Running errands such as food shopping or picking up

Accompanying to appointments and transportation

Note - This is not an exhaustive list

Your 'management' duties may include

:

Implementation of quality control procedures and the quality assurance process

On call duty responsibilities covering out of hours telephone calls on rolling rota

Completion of client needs assessments, care/support plans and risk assessments.

Attending a client's first call to introduce them to their Support Worker

Ensure that all changes to care rotas are reported, without delay, to the Care Co-ordinator.

Deliver field-based training to ensure all Support Workers are working within their competency level.

You should also be able to

:

Understand the importance of sticking to specific care plans.

Complete all training within specified timescales

Attend and contribute positively to team meetings and supervisions

Use systems provided to record client visits/working hours/mileage etc

Behave in a responsible manner to avoid risk of danger/harm/accident or injury

Adhere to all infection control policy and procedures

Work independently but also as part of a positive and supportive team

Have excellent time keeping skills

Follow all workplace policies and procedures

Recognise, identify and be confident in reporting safeguarding concerns

Keep accurate records

Support colleagues with all aspects of the Support Worker role

Empower and encourage colleagues to be the best they can be

Work closely with other members of the management team to build a robust and professional business

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-20.52 per hour
