Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate

Care Team Manager

/ Unit Lead

to join our dedicated team in a residential setting for older people aged 65 and over, many of whom are living with dementia. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with strong leadership qualities and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality care.

Duties

Provide personal care and support to residents, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times. Experience of working in Residential setting for older people over the age of 65 years living with Dementia with fair understanding/knowledge of CQC inspections and standards Managing staff - Supervision/Training/Handovers Managing medications - Ordering/administering and returns In charge of the care home as duty officer Ability to prioritise workload and full of initiative Health & Safety at Work and Infection Prevention Control Staff Rota Allocation of duties Shifts - including weekend and Bank Holidays Ability to use computer - send/receive emails, work on words & excel Good communication & organisational skills Ability to write reports and send out letters

Qualifications

Minimum

QCF (NVQ) Level 3 in Health & Social Care

Proven experience in a similar senior role within a residential care setting Knowledge and understanding of

CQC standards and inspections

Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently, use initiative, and prioritise workload effectively Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and bank holidays Competent computer skills for everyday administrative duties
