Team Leaders Wanted for a Brand-New Children's Home near Sudbury!



Sevello Children's Homes are recruiting Team Leaders for their exciting new home, New Haven, opening near Sudbury.



This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role within a brand-new home, supporting up to 4 children aged 5-12, many of whom will have a diagnosis such as Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), ADHD, or Autism. You'll help shape the home from the very beginning, guiding a dedicated team to provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment.



The Role



As a Team Leader, you will play a central role in ensuring high standards of care and support are maintained. You'll work directly with children while also supervising and guiding staff, creating a positive and stable home environment where children can thrive.



Salary: 33,731 per year + 50 per sleep in shift


Shift Pattern: 1 on, 2 off - great for work-life balance


Shift Times: 07:30 - 22:30 (with sleep-ins as required)


Annual Leave: 240 hours (30 days)


Location: New Haven, near Sudbury (village location - driving licence required)



Responsibilities



Provide leadership, guidance, and support to a team of Support Workers

Support children aged 5-12 with daily routines, education, and activities

Promote independence and help children develop essential life skills

Build positive relationships and act as a role model

Ensure care plans, safeguarding, and regulatory standards are consistently met

Contribute to the home's development and success through teamwork and strong leadership


What We're Looking For



Experience of working in a children's residential care setting (essential)

Leadership or supervisory experience (desirable but not essential)

Passion for working with children and making a real difference in their lives

Ability to motivate and support a team in a challenging but rewarding environment

Full UK driving licence (essential due to rural village location)

Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce (or equivalent) - or willingness to work towards Level 5
