About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sustainability Manager to join our team based in our Brock Street London office 2 days a week and working from home for 3 days. The main purpose of the role is to lead on the delivery of Guinness\xe2\x80\x99s Home Energy Standard, ensuring that Guinness does all it can to act in a sustainable manner, improving customers lives through sound investment in the environmental performance of our homes.

Skills/Experience:

Essential:

  • In-depth understanding of sustainable design principles and technical building knowledge, including latest industry and technological trends to assist in assessing and improving the
environmental performance of our homes and offices.
  • Up to date knowledge of government policy on sustainability including energy efficiency and renewable energy and a good understanding of grant funding opportunities.
  • Highly numerate with analytical experience, to include analysis of technical data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience of communicating technical information to non-specialists.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage a range of activities.
  • Project management experience and proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience of developing and delivering training sessions to groups and individuals.
  • Experience of working in an asset management, regeneration, or planned maintenance environment within social housing.
  • Experience of technical oversight of works, resident liaison and contractor management.
  • Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
  • Demonstrates the Guinness Leadership and Management Standard.
Qualifications:

Essential:
  • Educated to level 3 (A level or equivalent) or higher
Desirable:
  • Environmental Design / Sustainability related degree, with a focus on the built environment.
