to join our Planning, Transport and Strategy team. Reporting to the Head of Planning, Transport and Strategy, this role will play a key part in shaping the Airport's transport strategy, ensuring smooth access for passengers and staff, and driving forward sustainable travel initiatives. You'll collaborate with local authorities, transport providers, government bodies and internal colleagues to deliver innovative, efficient and sustainable transport solutions that support Birmingham Airport's long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of the Airport's Surface Access Strategy and Staff Travel Plan survey.
Review and interpret transport planning policy, making recommendations to safeguard the Airport's interests.
Build and maintain strong relationships with government, local authorities and transport operators.
Represent the Airport in external consultations, forums and presentations on transport and sustainability.
Ensure compliance with Section 106 obligations and relevant transport policies and regulations.
Champion sustainable and safe transport options that enhance customer and staff travel experiences.
Experience Required:
Degree in transport planning, geography, engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in transport planning, ideally in a complex network or large organisation.
Strong knowledge of sustainable transport solutions, policies, and best practice.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience working with transport data and policy to support evidence-based decision-making.
