Our Senior Systems Support Engineer role focuses on providing support for our in-house system, whilst acting as the senior member of the support team.

The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge and understanding of various systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across the organisation.

This is a full-time permanent position, covering 40 over a Monday to Friday week, based out of CareCo's Braintree site.

What are my responsibilities?

Working from our helpdesk ticket system to prioritise and assign support teams to other Engineers, whilst also investigating and completing requests. Assist with the daily management of helpdesk duties. General IT helpdesk support (password resets, desktop support & troubleshooting, etc.) Daily monitoring and management of multiple email inboxes, ensuring responses meet service level agreements. Maintaining various third party and in house data feeds. Production and maintenance of departments Standard Operating Procedures and How to Guides. System Implementations, changes & project work. Liase with other SME's to fully understand change requests & projects. Working with other departments to ensure accurate scoping, UAT & understanding of developments & changes. Supporting duties associated with the Systems Department.

What qualifications & skills are required of me?

Proven experience (3-5 years) in IT systems support and administration. Experience with supporting, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise-level systems. Experience with WMS/ERP System management. Experience with IT systems management & Troubleshooting. Good Understanding of operating systems and software platforms, including Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Linux, MacOS, and cloud hosting platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS) Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex system issues. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams. The ability to act as a senior member of the team, assisting with the development and motivation of the other engineers.
