Senior Team Leader Mould Shop (continental Shift Pattern)

Job Description

The Senior Team Leader role has accountability for ensuring production targets are achieved and is responsible for all production, quality and labour resources. You will be expected to drive adherence to the production plan to ensure customer deliveries are achieved in full and on time, every time.

This role reports into the Production Manager, working a 42-hour week on the continental shift pattern



Key responsibilities include:



Promote a strong safety culture within the team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices Ensure a high level of production plan adherence and for any non-adherence ensure a recovery plan is in place to protect customer delivery Monitor and drive all key KPI and PI performance Ensure compliance with all procedures and that all necessary training is carried out Identify opportunities for improvement within the production area, utilising activities such as Gemba Walks, 5S Audits, Process Audits, Waste Walks etc Effectively manage your team's performance (Team Leaders and Operators) through coaching/training, ensuring regular performance discussions and feedback, identifying areas for improvement and development opportunities Supervise and motivate team leaders, operators and others, ensuring production activities are carried out efficiently and in compliance with quality standards Manage the team's shift schedules, ensuring adequate coverage is maintained across rotational and continental shifts Act as the point of escalation in the absence of the Production Manager Provide team leadership cover where required and be flexible and proactive in responding to urgent production demands Support smooth transitions between shifts, with effective communication to incoming shift leaders to maintain continuity of work

To be successful you will need to demonstrate:



Previous management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with ability to develop an engaged and high performing team Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Self-motivated with a real drive for achieving high performance and operational excellence Experience of championing continuous improvement methodologies within a manufacturing setting * Good IT skills, previous experience of using Microsoft Office packages and able to use data to inform decision making and action planning
