About Shared Services
Our Shared Services team deliver specialist processes that have a direct impact on the performance of Network Rail, our customers and suppliers. These services include payroll, recruitment and onboarding, payables, receivables, financial accounting, reporting, controls and compliance, and helpdesk support.
What will you be doing?
As the Senior Team Manager Pensions, you will be delivering pensions policy and practice in line with Network Rail pension framework. You will also focus on the implementation and development of pension programmes within the Network Rail Shared Services payroll team.

About the role (External)
Main Responsibilities
1. Reporting to the Head of Payroll Strategy as technical support providing expert advice and guidance on the impact of employment and financial legislation changes in respect of pension changes which will impact pensions agenda and its terms & conditions.
2. Establish a timely and accurate pension processing service for all Network Rail employees over all payrolls, in relation to all pension schemes.
3. Direct and lead a team of experienced team of experienced pensions administrators responsible for Periodic processing of pensions joiners, leavers, changes to BRASS and AVC's in line with payroll processing deadlines.
4. Maintain and manage CRM tickets in respect of pension related queries within the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
5. Deliver smooth implementation of key periodic and annual pension activity and processes and reconciliation as per the Network Rail Shared Services calendar including pensions auto enrolment re-assessments, flexible benefits, death in service, severance.
6. Operate within the pre-agreed control framework; embed a control mind set amongst all stakeholders to reduce risk and control costs. Being the lead point of contact for internal and external audit continually reviewing the framework for adherence, where gaps are identified, take personal ownership to define, socialise and embed improvements.
7. Develop and continually improve relations with key stakeholders including the Head of Pensions, HR Directors, and Industrial Relations, define and embed a customer centric culture where all team members consider the impact on customers and their future requirements.
8. Develop and maintain all standard operating procedures, process documents and control in line with Network Rail processes and procedures.
Essential
Extensive experience in pensions, payroll and reward
Degree or post grade equivalent in Human Resources/Reward & Benefits (MCIPD)
Proven experience in providing expert advice and guidance in Pensions.
Experience of managing teams in a complex regulatory environment manging multi contract variations
Exceptional customer focus/engagement/stakeholder management skills
Proven influencing, networking and stakeholder management skills at senior management level.
Exceptional analytical and accounting skills
Experience of delivering continuous improvement programmes
Excellent communication skills
Desirable
Experience of wider payroll processes (HMRC reporting Tax & NIC etc)
ORACLE eBusiness Suite experience or similar
Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD)
Salary
: 55,596- 65,966 per annum pro rata
