A Senior Technical Application Specialist within our Personal Experiences & Communications Platform, will be an experienced specialist capable of handling sophisticated projects and mentoring junior team members.


Day to day, you'll:



Leadership & Strategic Influence



Lead sophisticated technical projects and coordinate the implementation of advanced solutions Represent the specialist team in inter-departmental meetings and contribute to broader technical strategies Provide experienced consultation on critical technical decisions and foster innovation within the team

Technical Excellence & Innovation



Develop and implement guidelines, standards, and methodologies Evaluate and recommend new technologies, and lead proof-of-concept initiatives and pilot projects Conduct root cause analysis for critical issues and drive continuous improvement

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment



Collaborate with other departments to ensure specialist work aligns with wider organisational objectives Contribute to thought leadership through articles, presentations, or whitepapers

Mentorship & Capability Building



Mentor junior specialists and team members, supporting their growth and development Promote a culture of learning and technical excellence across the team

What you'll need:



Experience in Customer Communications:

Proven experience in the customer communications domain, with a track record of leading technological changes in this area.

Domain Expertise:

In-depth understanding of key areas such as Banking, Homes, Insurance, and Investments, and how technology can address communication needs in these sectors.

Customer-Centric Approach:

A strong focus on ensuring we utilise our technology to consistently meets the communication expectations of our customers at Lloyds Banking Group.

Analytical Problem-Solving:

The ability to tackle sophisticated problems with a data-driven attitude, strategically seeking solutions that align with the long-term goals of Lloyds Banking Group in the customer communications field.

Stakeholder Management:

Excellent skills in managing partners and seamlessly bridging the gap between Business and Technology teams to achieve efficient outcomes for customers.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Ability to work across different functions and assist our Integrators in managing sophisticated technical dependencies both upstream and downstream.

It would be great if you also had:



Technical Expertise:

Hands-on experience with Customer Communications technologies such as Document Composition, Post Composition, Archiving Technologies, Content Management Tools, and Orchestration Workflows (ADF).

Media Format Knowledge:

Understanding of Page-Based Media formats like AFP/PDF.

Web and Digital Frameworks:

Experience with Web Technologies and Digital Frameworks.
