As a Senior Technical Engineer , your main responsibilities will be to:
As part of the OED Overseas Maintenance Strategy, support the development of new routes to market to overcome current capacity constraints.
Provide technical review and challenge supply chain Procurement Reports submitted as part of the Global Maintenance Programme .Monitor and report on operational delivery by contractors and suppliers across all Global Maintenance Programme activities including review of any draft change requests prior to submission of that request.
The successful candidate will work to expand and develop new routes to market to leverage the existing and constrained supply chain. The Senior Technical Engineer will be the technical subject matter expert for the Global Maintenance Programme providing challenge, scrutiny, governance, advice and innovation across the Global Maintenance Programme working closely will all stakeholders to deliver the Global Maintenance Programme to time, quality and value for money.
Ad hoc support to the Overseas Maintenance Strategy initiatives in relation to capacity and capability building in the overseas corporate network.
From a technical perspective, regularly review the forward maintenance registers (plans) prior to launching the Annual Programme of Works (APW) including review of correct allocation of priority and funding.
Ensure full reporting and performance cycles are met by the supply chains, including, where appropriate, attending individual progress and update meetings, reviewing Service Level Agreement (SLA) KPI's, risk and issues logs, budget forecasting and actual expenditure via budget allocations, technical adherence and reporting.
