About the Role
We're looking for a versatile
Senior Technical Project Manager
who can coordinate people and processes to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with our business objectives -- while also taking ownership of
technical requirements gathering
to shape product solutions.
This role starts with 1-3 flagship projects and offers significant growth potential into broader strategic and operational responsibilities. You'll bridge the gap between stakeholders, end users, and technical teams, ensuring that what we build meets both business needs and technical feasibility.
You must be comfortable operating across
PMI-derived waterfall
and
Agile/SCRUM
methodologies, selecting and applying the right approach for each project.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
Develop detailed project plans, timelines & project documentation.
Work with the Head of Systems & the Head of Project Management towards resource allocation strategies.
Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless project execution.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope, with prompt attention to any risks in the process.
Manage risks, scope changes, and dependencies proactively & document with transparency.
Track, measure, and report project performance to stakeholders and leadership, working with the appropriate stakeholders to assign the appropriate metrics.
Design and maintain comprehensive project documentation and reporting processes.
Work with executive management on regular project prioritisation efforts.
Design and implement prioritisation practices that combine agile & traditional waterfall methodologies, in order to improve cross-team efficiency & planning.
Technical Product Management
Lead technical requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders, users, and engineering teams.
Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional and technical specifications.
Collaborate with developers, designers, and QA teams to ensure requirements are implemented accurately.
Evaluate technical feasibility of proposed solutions and advise on alternatives when necessary.
Participate in backlog grooming, planning, and product roadmap discussions.
Advocate for user needs while balancing technical constraints and business priorities.
Experience & Skills
Proven experience as a Project Manager in the
information technology sector
, ideally with combined experience in
Technical Product Management
.
Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in
software development, APIs, and web technologies
.
Demonstrated expertise in
technical requirements gathering
and translating them into actionable deliverables.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in both
UK/EU
and
US business environments
.
Proficiency with PMI waterfall and Agile/SCRUM frameworks; certifications such as
PMP
,
CSM & CSPO
are preferred.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in client-facing roles.
Ability to adapt processes and workflows to suit varied project types and stakeholders.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
