The Role

You'll be joining the design and detailing team responsible for producing

3D Tekla Structures models and fabrication drawings

for steelwork and materials handling systems.

Working closely with engineers, fabricators, and project managers, you'll ensure all designs meet structural, safety, and fabrication standards while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed

3D Tekla Structures models

, GA drawings, and fabrication/assembly drawings for steel and plant structures Coordinate with project engineers, fabricators, and site teams to ensure constructability and accuracy Check and manage drawing outputs for accuracy, clarity, and compliance Contribute to design reviews and problem-solving during fabrication or installation Support project delivery from early design through to site execution

Requirements

Essential:

5+ years' proven experience using Tekla Structures

for steelwork or plant design Strong understanding of

fabrication detailing, connection design, and steel manufacturing processes

Solid experience in

structural, mechanical, or plant design

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, calculations, and site information Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills

Desirable:

Background in

quarry, recycling, or bulk materials handling projects

Knowledge of UK and Eurocode design standards Familiarity with AutoCAD or other 3D CAD tools
