Position Summary:



WBD Group is expanding and currently seeking a highly motivated and talented skilled as a

Senior Temporary Works Engineer

with over 5 years of experience to join the team. The role is responsible for designing, planning, and managing temporary works solutions for construction projects. You will ensure that temporary structures are safe, efficient, and meet all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:



Design and develop temporary works solutions, including shoring and falseworks. Conduct site assessments and provide technical advice on temporary work. Ensure all temporary works comply with safety regulations and engineering standards. Collaborate with clients, project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate temporary works into the overall project plan. Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, and reports for temporary work. Oversee the installation and removal of temporary structures on-site. Review and approve temporary work designs from subcontractors. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members. Monitor and report on the performance of temporary work and address any issues that arise. Liaise with clients to define the scope of work and prepare design fee proposals. Manage internal resources to ensure successful delivery of the projects.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Chartered or near-chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE, IStructE). 5 years experience in temporary works engineering, including design, drafting and site management. Strong knowledge of relevant UK codes, standards, and regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
