The Role:

As a

Senior Therapeutic Care Practitioner

, you will:

Work passionately to achieve life-changing outcomes for children, following our therapeutic model and training. Look beyond behaviours to understand and respond to the underlying needs of children with empathy and sensitivity. Support children in their continuous improvement in all areas of life, including education, emotional management, and the development of healthy habits. Create a structured environment with positive routines and boundaries. Lead shifts and mentor Support Workers to achieve their best.

Market-Leading Salary:

Between 28,000 base salary plus 60 per sleep shift (5,640 annually for two sleeps per week).

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Level 3/4 Diploma for the Children & Young People's Workforce or equivalent e.g. social work/ psychology degree.

Experience:

Proven success of working with children or adults with a trauma background or learning difficulties.

Knowledge:

Excellent safeguarding and regulatory knowledge.

Skills:

Ability to lead shifts and make sound decisions under pressure.

Attributes:

High level of resilience, emotional maturity, high energy and solution orientated.

Working pattern:

Hours: 173 hours per month (approx. 40 hours per week)

Rota:

Typically, a repeated pattern of one day working and two days off.

Shifts:

Required to work some weekends and usually two sleep shifts per week. Shifts are usually 15 hours.
