Baytree Garden Centre is currently recruiting for the position of senior till operative to head up our team of cashiers. Baytree has recently celebrated 55 years in the industry and prides itself on strong customer relationships and a happy, enthusiastic team of staff.
This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week working 5 out of 7 days - 4 weeks days and a Saturday. Flexibility is also an essential feature of this role.
This is an exciting and challenging position for the right candidate. You need to be organised and have a fair approach when supervising and training the team, good attention to detail as to keep standards consistent.
Responsibilities will include
To assist in the running of the till area.
Cash handling, tills, managing change and cashing up with necessary reporting.
Controlling customer flow and dealing directly with members of the public.
Ensuring that each work station as the required stock of bags, till rolls etc,
Organising staff rotas, lunch and breaks
Comfortable using spreadsheets
Training and development of staff.
Becoming familiar with the Epos system.
Processing refunds
Dealing with customer complaints.
Salary dependent upon experience.
