Role Overview



We are seeking an experienced

Senior Topographic Land & Measured Building Surveyor

to join our growing team. You will be responsible for managing and delivering a wide range of land and measured building survey projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. This role is ideal for a surveyor who has independently managed projects and is now ready to step into a leadership position, driving best practices and supporting the professional development of others.

Key Responsibilities



Project Management:


Lead and deliver topographic and measured building survey projects from inception to completion, ensuring all deliverables meet client requirements and company standards.

Team Leadership:


Manage and mentor a team of surveyors, fostering professional growth and promoting a collaborative working environment.

Technical Expertise:


Utilise advanced survey equipment and software, including total stations, GNSS, LIDAR, CAD, LSS, and N4CE, to produce accurate survey data and deliverables.

Quality Assurance & Control:


Implement and oversee rigorous QA/QC processes to maintain the highest standards across all projects.

Client Liaison:


Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, understanding of project requirements, and delivery of exceptional service.

Process Improvement:


Identify and promote best practices, driving efficiency and innovation within the department.

Training & Development:


Support the ongoing development of junior surveyors through training, coaching, and technical guidance.

Tender & Documentation Support:


Assist with technical responses for tenders, particularly for topographic land surveys and associated health and safety protocols.

Technical Documentation:


Prepare detailed technical documents and 3D models as required for project deliverables.

Essential Requirements



Minimum of

5 years' experience

in all aspects of land and measured building surveying. Proven ability to

manage survey projects independently

, including planning, execution, and delivery. Proficient in the use of

CAD, LSS, and N4CE

software. Strong leadership skills with experience in

managing and developing teams

. Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain

rigorous QA/QC procedures

. Excellent communication skills, with experience in

client liaison

and relationship management. Commitment to promoting

best practices

and increasing operational efficiency. Full UK driving licence (or equivalent).

Desirable Attributes



Experience with advanced survey technologies (e.g., SLAM, UAV, mobile mapping). Familiarity with BIM workflows and 3D modelling software. Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, ICES, TSA).
