Job Role & Purpose

You will create and plan optimal utilisation and routing of vehicles, to ensure the smooth running of logistic operations for onward delivery.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Plan loads, routes and schedule delivery times, considering distance, time, traffic and customer requirements to ensure the vehicle utilisation and service level standards of the Company are met, working to set targets on ODIF/OTIF etc. Schedule and co-ordinate delivery/collection orders to maximise efficiency and meet customer expectations. Lead the Planning team to proactively troubleshoot potential issues and promptly find appropriate solutions, undertaking root cause and corrective action investigation. Utilise and maintain computerised systems to maximise business efficiency and customer service. Monitor and track route performance, identifying areas for improvement and making necessary adjustments. Ensure documentation is properly completed in line with customer and Company requirements. Work collaboratively and proactively with customers, suppliers and drivers and the traffic desk to resolve and minimise potential issues, such as late deliveries and missed time slots. Provide various reports/spreadsheets as required for internal departments and, where required, to customers in a timely manner, including PL and KPI reports. Liaise with the Traffic Team to ensure efficient driver briefing and de-briefing. Ensure strict compliance with transport regulations and Company policies and procedures, such as health and safety and quality systems. Monitor and report any areas of concern promptly to the Night Operations Manager or Assistant Night Manager. Provide general support appropriate to the management when required. To complete any other reasonable duties as instructed by the management team.

16.51 Per Hour 20 Days plus 8 statutory holidays (28 days in total) Additional Holiday after 4 years' service - Extra Day for every additional year's service up to a maximum of 5 extra days. Full uniform and PPE provided. Auto Enrolment Pension Scheme
