Job summary:
We're looking for an experienced Senior Trainer / Assessor to join our Training team. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality training and assessment across the construction industry, helping to raise standards and support the next generation of professionals. You'll be working with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, bringing technical expertise and excellent communication skills to create real impact.
What you'll be doing:
Delivering a mix of technical, health & safety, procedural, and customer service training
Assessing candidates and supporting qualification programmes
Working closely with customers to understand their training needs and design tailored solutions
Ensuring training is delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget
Supporting other trainers and assessors to develop their skills and knowledge
Maintaining NHBC's accreditations and contributing to continuous improvement projects
Representing NHBC Training at industry events and professional forums
What we're looking for:
Strong background in the construction industry, ideally within new-build housing
Qualified and experienced in training and / or assessing, or significant experience in developing and delivering training
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Extensive knowledge of housebuilding and the legislative framework
Full driving licence and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays
Professional membership (or willing to working towards) of a relevant body such as CIOB, CABE, IOSH, RICS, or similar
