Are you experienced in working with and launching Workday Finance and Adaptive planning?
We've got a fantastic opportunity to join SNG (Sovereign Network Group) as a
Senior Transformation and Integration Accountant
on a
fixed term contract for 6 months.
This role will support the Head of Finance Transformation and Integration to support implementation of the new finance system, Workday, with Phase 1 going live in April and Adaptive planning following on closely.
Based from either
Basingstoke or Wembley
, you'll combine home and office working to ensure a positive work / life balance.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance Transformation and Integration, you will act as a subject matter expert interfacing between operational finance teams and the change teams leading on the Workday implementation. You'll be forward thinking and help create the new ways of working supporting the adoption of new working practices. Responsibilities include:
Proactively create and provide advice on reporting and Workday best practices to senior stakeholders
Taking the lead in driving Workday projects and initiatives through to completion with support from the rest of the team
Supporting the implementation of the new system, new chart of accounts, data reconciliations, reporting and financial planning, including documenting and testing processes and procedures
Working with operational colleagues to gain their input and buy in so they can be handed over to when ready, as well as providing support and training on key aspect of the system and reporting
Identifying and implementing improvements to existing ways of working
Providing advice and ensuring financial implications and controls are fully considered and that actions taken are in the best interests of Sovereign Network Group
What we need from you
You should have previous experience in a similar role, with proven experience implementing Workday, including strong report?writing capability and a solid understanding of financial planning and analysis processes. You'll also need:
Strong, clear working knowledge of processes and controls surrounding financial processing, accounting, and management accounting preparation
Good understanding of relevant legislation and accounting principles for Housing Associations is desirable
A track record of working effectively in a changing and continuously improving environment
Strong experience in senior stakeholder management and collaboration
To be highly numerate and computer literate with strong Microsoft skills covering word and excel
Knowledge of Agresso, SUN Accounting system or other finance systems is desirable to support the cutover period
Qualified Accountant, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent post graduate accounting qualification, with post qualification experience is desirable
