Job Description

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Transport Shift Manager to join our distribution centre in Speke on nights!

Due to our growth, we will be looking for a Senior Transport Shift Manager, working nightshift on a 4 on 4 off basis.

Working hours:

6pm - 6am, 4 on 4 off



In this role, you will be operating in line with Company values to achieve agreed KPI's, costs and provide a reliable service to stores, whilst meeting all legal requirements and maintaining high colleague engagement.

The key accountabilities for the role are as follows:

Overall responsibility for the shift and ensuring Shift Managers and Team Managers are working according to their KPI's

Chair any Grievances / Appeals / Flexible Working meetings

Colleague engagement

Attend the daily DC morning meeting

Cost compliance (agency / overtime)

Maintain good working relationships and liaise with Transport Network to ensure SLA's are achieved Provide training, development and motivation to Shift Managers and Team Managers

Lead, motivate, inspire and challenge your team to deliver consistently high results and help drive maximum service to stores.

To provide support to the Operations Manager

Any other duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the Transport Shift

Strong leadership skills

Able to achieve results by setting high standards and committing to clear objectives, whilst remaining commercially focused

Managers CPC Qualified
