Auria Travel is an independent travel agency launched in the UK in the Summer of 2025. Our business combines a fully bookable online platform with a high street presence, beginning with our first retail store in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire. We are committed to providing expert, personalised travel advice, outstanding customer service, and bespoke holiday solutions.

We are now recruiting a Senior Travel Consultant to join our team in Ashby de la Zouch. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a brand-new travel business and take your career to the next level.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role designed for someone who is passionate about travel, thrives in a sales environment, and is ready to take on additional responsibility. You will be instrumental in the store's success, selling a wide range of holidays, building long-term customer relationships, and supporting the day-to-day running of the business.

The role will suit someone currently working in a retail travel agency who is looking for their next step into a more senior position. You'll receive full support and training, but also the autonomy to make decisions and take ownership of your performance and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Create and convert holiday enquiries across a wide range of products, including package holidays, cruises, tailor-made itineraries, and dynamically packaged trips Deliver high-quality, personalised customer service that drives loyalty and repeat business Assist with the daily operations of the store, including team support, store presentation and customer flow Work with mainstream and niche suppliers, destination management companies (DMCs), and cruise lines to create bespoke holiday experiences Support sales performance and ensure operational efficiency Contribute to marketing ideas, promotions, and local brand awareness Represent Auria Travel with professionalism and enthusiasm
Person Specification

Essential:

Minimum 2 years' experience in a retail travel agency Strong sales ability with a proven track record of achieving targets Excellent destination knowledge and product awareness Confident communicator with a customer-first attitude Flexible to work Saturdays (store closed on Sundays) Highly organised, motivated, and commercially aware Passionate about travel and creating memorable customer experiences

Desirable:

Experience with cruise, tailor-made holidays or dynamic packaging Familiarity with GDS and/or online packaging systems

Salary & Commission

Competitive base salary dependent on experience Uncapped commission structure - realistic OTE of 30-35k
