The role



As a UK Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting alongside the UK Financial Controller. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This is a highly visible role with broad exposure across the business, offering the opportunity to contribute to the multiple finance initiatives and process improvements.

You will support the UK Financial Controller and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, external auditors, and key stakeholders across the Group. As a senior member of the finance team, you will also provide technical accounting guidance, help optimise financial systems, and support transformation efforts in line with FDJ United's growth strategy.





What you will do


Support the UK Financial Controller team in delivering high-quality financial control and reporting. Support with the preparation and delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements across all UK entities and assist with Group consolidation processes. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g. IFRS/local GAAP) and regulatory requirements across statutory reporting and internal control frameworks. Assist UK FC during year-end and interim audit processes, acting as a key point of contact for external auditors and ensuring timely resolution of audit queries. Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes, internal controls, and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Provide analytical insight to support the UK Financial Controller in decision-making and planning. Support change management initiatives by promoting accountability, process ownership, and collaboration with stakeholders e.g. P2P optimisation. Prepare VAT returns and support with Corporation Tax returns as well as working closely with Group tax team. Intercompany transaction posting and reconciliations.




Your experience


Proven track record (5+ years) in financial reporting within a dynamic, regulated, and fast-paced listed environment, ideally with international operations and multi-currency exposure. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) with strong technical expertise in IFRS and local GAAP, and a background in audit (preferably from a medium or large practice). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and external partners. Demonstrated business acumen and results-driven approach, with confidence in proposing and implementing process improvements across finance functions. High attention to detail and analytical mindset, with the ability to manage complex workloads under pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines. Proactive, self-starter with a responsible and autonomous working style; motivated to add value and drive change across the organisation. Experience working with or adapting to ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP), Business Intelligence tools, and advanced Excel modelling skills. Gaming industry experience is advantageous, but not essential.
