Emillies client, the PDSA in Staffordshire, is seeking a Senior Vet Surgeon to join their team full-time. Would you like to oversee a team making a meaningful difference?

  • Salary 65,563 - 77,670 (including allowances) per annum.
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
In this role, you will be an important part of the hospital's leadership, steering the team towards excellence in customer service, clinical care, and pet well-being. Your focus will be on fostering a supportive and motivated team dedicated to preventive services and treating sick and injured pets of eligible clients.
As Senior Vet Surgeon, you will overseas the Head Nurse and Veterinary Surgeons, playing a pivotal role in developing and mentoring the clinical team. You'll be responsible for guiding the team's daily workflow, ensuring all operations run smoothly and a high standard of both clinical practice and customer care are kept.
Your leadership will extend to overseeing clinical governance, income, and expenditure at the hospital. This includes managing treatment costs and optimising PDSA resources to provide cost-effective solutions without compromising on the quality of care delivered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and motivation to the veterinary and nursing teams, fostering collaboration and a culture of ongoing development.

  • Ensure high standards of clinical governance and promote the responsible and cost-effective use of resources.
  • Manage hospital treatment budgets, focusing on financial sustainability and efficiency.
