Assistant Head of Vision
to join a growing live events team. This role plays a crucial part in supporting and expanding the Vision Department, ensuring high standards of technical excellence and innovation are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Head of Vision in daily departmental operations.
Provide coverage during the Head of Vision's absence, ensuring smooth departmental functioning.
Act as lead vision engineer on live events, overseeing onsite setup and operations.
Lead onsite teams, ensuring project deadlines and quality standards are achieved.
Oversee repair and maintenance of vision inventory, ensuring equipment readiness and reliability.
Assist in evaluating and procuring new vision technology and equipment.
Uphold and enforce departmental policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vision stock and related information using rental software platforms.
Design vision systems for events, ensuring technical requirements and briefs are fulfilled.
Create and deliver detailed technical schematics and documentation for onsite teams.
Provide training, guidance, and technical support to team members.
Adhere to all company policies and demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety practices.
Undertake additional duties as required to meet the needs of the department and business.
Qualifications and Skills
Proven experience as a senior vision engineer or in a comparable technical role.
In-depth knowledge of vision systems, technologies, and equipment capabilities.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
Flexible, customer-focused mindset with a keen attention to detail.
Strong IT skills, with familiarity with technical software and inventory management systems.
