About the role:




As

Senior Vocational Development Officer (Spiritual Leader Development)

you will play a vital role in providing access to learning and development opportunities for current and aspiring spiritual leaders across the Territory. Working collaboratively within William Booth College and with stakeholders across the movement, you'll lead and facilitate a range of leadership programmes, coach and empower leaders, and create innovative new pathways for learning. You'll also contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement to ensure our provision remains relevant, impactful and accessible.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead, teach and facilitate Christian leadership programmes and workshops, embodying The Salvation Army's values. Develop and deliver innovative learning opportunities for spiritual leaders, ensuring continuous improvement and effective access routes. Coach and support individuals and teams in their vocational development, including induction and CPD activities. Manage and report on programme budgets and financial performance. Contribute to the strategic development of leadership across the UKI territory, collaborating with key stakeholders. Deputise for the Unit Head as required. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of theology, teaching methods and best practice. Actively lead and participate in Christian worship as part of learning events. Fulfil all duties in line with Salvation Army policies and statutory requirements.

About You



A servant-hearted individual with proven experience in creative Christian leadership development within a large organisation. Ability to teach at Level 3 (or willingness to work towards this). Coaching qualification at Level 5 (or willingness to obtain within first year). Excellent relational and communication skills, able to motivate and support others. Strong organisational and IT skills (including LMS, Microsoft Office, Teams). Willingness to travel throughout the UK (including some overnight stays). Full valid UK (or equivalent) driving licence. Active involvement in your local church.
