About the Role:
As a Senior water hygiene technician you will be responsible for leading the site based team delivering planned and reactive maintenance activities and other related maintenance activities, with water hygiene. Working to a high standard, complying with all health and safety, company and site rules.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Manage and prioritise the team's workload, ensuring all water hygiene activities are completed efficiently and correctly, and raising identified issues through the proper channels.
Compliance & Monitoring:
Ensure full compliance with the site's Legionella risk assessment.
Domestic System Maintenance:
Lead the team in undertaking essential water hygiene activities such as temperature monitoring, flushing, microbiological sampling, and chemical analysis.
Cooling Tower Management:
Perform and oversee maintenance, including microbiological sampling, chemical dosing/replenishment, sterilisation, and cleaning.
Documentation:
Complete all water hygiene documentation and logbooks meticulously to maintain a clear, auditable trail of compliance.
Remedial Action:
Manage the water hygiene defect log and undertake or oversee subsequent water hygiene remedial activities, implementing escalation procedures for out-of-parameter results.
What you'll need to succeed in the role:
Legionella maintenance experience
Experience in leading a small team in a facilities management environment
Health & Safety qualification
Accurate and methodical mind-set
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
Legionella Responsible person training and Awareness with Cooling Towers
